Talk on Mindfulness and Stress Management
Delivered to Crown Club members on 13 June 2018
Mônica, delivered a talk on how mindfulness is a powerful tool in stress management, education and development, and that we can all gain from on the journey towards self-fulfilment as a parent, a partner or an employee. She has been practicing mindfulness meditation for over seven years and is a certified practitioner with Mindful Schools in the US.
Mindfulness meditation has been practiced for millennia, but only in recent years it has been brought into a mainstream attention as a concept and a lifestyle.
By practicing mindfulness, we learn “recognise the conditions of happiness that are already present in our lives” *. We learn to stay focused on here and now, become fully engaged in daily activities and present in everything we do.
